Learning is a continuous process.
In our place, we are supposed to know the Ilocano dialect besides other dialects that you can hear people speak in the Philippines. The Philippines and the Filipino people consists of a diversified culture and dialects so to speak but most are well versed in English.
Ever since I was young I was accustomed to the Filipino dialect and the English language. I read a lot, wrote a lot and did what else I can do including attending forums for environmental protection. During one of the forums, people were speaking in Ilocano – a dialect often spoken in Northern Luzon. While the moderator was saying something, I butted in an angry voice merely because I mistaken his words as insulting. The people laughed at my angry voice while I was waiting for the ground to open up and swallow me. To my dismay, it didn’t (lol)!
That not so funny anecdote gave me a valuable lesson to continue learning. I’ve taken up degrees in fact colorful ones so to speak. But I never backed out on a challenge to learning even putting up this website is indeed a valuable learning I am willing to put my best foot forward.
Uncle Albert Einstein (lol) said that once you stop learning, you start dying. Learning is a continuous process. Even travel for me is learning and even sharing is learning. Perhaps, those are the reasons why I continue to write.
Like in the Oscar awards speeches (lol), I would like to thank CrushedCaramel (https://crushedcaramel.wordpress.com/) for this utmost learning and not forgetting experience. And I have to commend her for being a learner herself – a learner at love. Love is the most amazing thing! 🙂
To the following bloggers who I want to nominate if you have time please do write quotes for the three day challenge even though I know we all got some learning to do elsewhere:
A.P. Christopher – https://constantvariablesite.wordpress.com/
Ta An Speaks – http://iamnottaan.com/
I didn’t ask them ahead but I believe they are learners too especially with poems and blogging. I hope they get to see this post and find time to write.
I might be doing another 3-day quote challenge and I’ll gladly squeeze it between my learning experience somewhere else! Happy learning!
The House rules (lol) says to do the following things:
• Thank the person who nominated you.
• Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
• Nominate 3 different bloggers for each day.
I did gladly oblige, onward to the next day challenge. Until then… 🙂
